The 2009 year-end report produced by Lancaster County-Wide Communications has been released complete with year end totals.

The Elizabethtown Fire Department finished out 2009 as the 2nd busiest volunteer department in Lancaster County with 703 emergency calls out of the 82 fire departments in the county. 

Engine 7-4-2 was the 10th busiest Engine Company with 237 runs, Rescue Engine 7-4-1 was the 3rd busiest Rescue Company with 276 runs and Truck 7-4 was the 4th busiest Truck Company with 264 runs.

Elizabethtown Fire Department responded to 18 working fires, 5 of those being in the EFD first due.
